Professor Kyriakos Lobotesis

ESNR/WFNRS Representative
Professor Kyriakos Lobotesis is a Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist and currently Head of Specialty, at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. He did his general Neuroradiology training in Cambridge prior to commencing the Boston Scientific Neurointerventional Fellowship in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England. He also worked as a Praticien Attaché at the Hôpital Gui de Chauliac, Montpellier, France with a particular emphasis on endovascular therapies of the brain and spine. Beyond his clinical responsibilities, Professor Lobotesis is a Professor of Practice at Imperial College London and has produced a steady stream of peer-reviewed papers to date. His primary interests lie in new medical devices and technologies and he is currently involved in a number of research trials, with collaborative links nationally and abroad. He was awarded with the British Society of Neuroradiologists Du Boulay visiting Professorship in 2017.
Dr Harriet Joy

Dr Harriet Joy has been a diagnostic neuroradiologist at University Hospital Southampton for 15 years. Her subspecialty interests include neuro-oncology, and she is clinical lead for the adult neuro-oncology MDT, as well as paediatric neuroradiology and epilepsy imaging. She is also a member of the standards subcommittee.
Professor Rob Dineen

I am Professor of Neuroradiology at the University of Nottingham and an honorary consultant Neuroradiologist at the University of Nottingham. I am a past BSNR du Boulay Professor (2014-2016), a previous member for the BSNR Training and Education Sub-Committee (2013-2016) and have been a member of the BSNR Academic Sub-Committee from 2015, prior to taking up the Chair from 2019-2023. I am the deputy director for clinical academic training at the University of Nottingham.
Dr Ian Craven

Chair of the Training and Education Subcommittee
Dr Ian Craven is the current Chair of the Training and Education Subcommittee. He has always been heavily involved in training completing his MEd in 2018. He thinks the BSNR has an incredible opportunity to be at the forefront of neuroradiology training in the UK. This prospect has been reinforced by the outstanding generosity of our members in engaging with education during the recent pandemic. Dr Priya Bhatnagar

Dr Priya Bhatnagar has been a Consultant Neuroradiologist at Newcastle Regional Neurosciences Centre since 2014. After obtaining her MRCS, she did her general radiology training in Leeds and was awarded the Rohan Williams medal in the final FRCR examination. She then did her Neuroradiology fellowship in Newcastle and also obtained the EDiNR. Her sub-specialty interests include neuro-oncology and advanced neuroimaging techniques. She has published several papers and book chapters. She has previously served as the RCR College tutor for four years. She is a keen educator and enjoys teaching and lecturing at various national and international courses. As an active member of the BSNR TESC, she has helped establish and develop the BSNR trainee symposium days and currently organises the fortnightly BSNR Grand Rounds.
Dr Tom Campion

Dr Tom Campion is a Consultant Head & Neck/Neuroradiologist at Barts Health NHS Trust. He underwent general radiology training at Barts and the Royal London, followed by the pan-London neuroradiology fellowship. He is the Communications & Website Lead for the British Society of Neuroradiologists and a member of the Executive Committee and vice chair of the Training and Education Subcommittee.
Dr Lalani Carlton Jones

Dr Lalani Carlton Jones practices in adult and paediatric neuroradiology, at Guys and St Thomas’s, The Evelina London and Kings College hospitals NHS Trusts.
She graduated from the University of Cambridge and Imperial College and then trained in both neurology and neurosurgery prior to her general radiology training in London and the Pan London neuroradiology fellowship. She has a keen interest in medical education having completed the RCP/UCL Postgraduate Diploma and now Masters in Medical Education, founded several national teaching courses and has been the lead for the neuroradiology stream of several conferences including UKIO and RCR 2020. One of her key interests is in learning from medical error, and she furthers this as a member of the RCR Radiology Events and Learning panel. She has been on the BSNR TESC for several years since her time as the trainee rep and beyond and has enjoyed working as a team to introduce the new educational program and BSNR grand rounds.
Dr Stuart Currie

Stuart Currie has been a consultant neuroradiologist in Leeds since April 2015. During his radiology training he gained an MSc in Health Research at the University of Leeds, a PhD in neurological imaging at the University of Sheffield and a postgraduate certificate in medical education at the University of Cambridge. In October 2017 he commenced part-time academia working closely with the Leeds Institutes of Cancer and Pathology and Biomedical Imaging. His main academic interests lie in radiological biomarkers for the diagnosis and management stratification of brain tumours. He is also a keen educator and has just completed his Masters in Clinical Education. He was BSNR/RCR du Boulay Professor in 2018-2019.
Dr Tilak Das

Dr. Tilak Das is a diagnostic neuroradiologist at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, having done Neuroradiology fellowships in Cambridge and Toronto. He also contributes to the BSNR Teaching and Education Subcommittee. Locally, he is a tutor in head & neck anatomy for undergraduates. He has a PhD in developmental neuroscience and is actively involved in research projects on traumatic brain injury using machine learning techniques as well as quantitative imaging in thyroid eye disease, both areas that have developed from clinical interests. Within his department, he has been lead for coordinating successful ISAS accreditation for 5 years and is currently the clinical audit lead and information governance lead. He has a keen interest in Clinical Informatics and is currently undertaking further training in this area. He is a past BSNR/RCR du Boulay Professor.
Dr Rekha Siripurapu

Dr Rekha Siripurapu is a Consultant Neuroradiologist at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust, Liverpool.
Rekha graduated from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, India in 2001. After MRCP and FRCR, she did neuroradiology training in Manchester and a fellowship at the University of Toronto, Canada . She worked as a Consultant Neuroradiologist at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester ( 2010 – 2022) before moving to the Walton Centre in December 2022.
She practices all aspects of diagnostic neuroradiology with subspeciality interests in CNS infections, Neurovascular and Skull base imaging. She established the vessel wall imaging service in Manchester, provided Neuroradiology input to the North Manchester Infectious Diseases Unit , Supra Regional Skull Base service and National Skull base proton therapy service.
She is very passionate about post graduate education and has been invited to speak at many conferences locally, nationally, and internationally.
