Welcome to the Academic Subcommittee homepage

The Academic Subcommittee of the BSNR encourages and supports neuroimaging research across the country and beyond. Currently our major roles are in supporting and organising the academic content in the Annual Meeting, working with the Training and Education Subcommittee to organise the Trainee Days and Educational Programme, and administering the Du Boulay Professorship, Isherwood Pump Priming Grant, and Visiting Scholarships, which you can find out more about below.

A grant to support early career researchers, both trainees and junior consultants.

The 2020 recipient was Dr Aysha Luis, from London.

Grants to support a short period of training in another centre.

Burrows Prize: Dr Ayesha Jameel, "Treating movement disorders with sound waves: disrupting the cerebello-thalamic-cortical tremor pathways with MR guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS)"
