The Academic Subcommittee of the BSNR encourages and supports neuroimaging research across the country and beyond. Currently our major roles are in supporting and organising the academic content in the Annual Meeting, working with the Training and Education Subcommittee to organise the Trainee Days and Educational Programme, and administering the Du Boulay Professorship, Isherwood Pump Priming Grant, Undergraduate Essay Prize, and Visiting Scholarships, which you can find out more about below.
ISMRM-BSNR Collaborative Webinars
After a pilot earlier this year, the Academic Subcommittee is launching a new partnership with BIC-ISMRM to promote their MR Education series. The aim of the partnership is to:
(i) foster academic collaboration between BSNR members who have a research interest and clinical physicists at other centres;
(ii) share clinical expertise and knowledge within neuroimaging;
(ii) learn about the latest MR techniques being developed in UK.
Please find attached the schedule for the autumn term, where Dr Tilak Das will be speaking on 1st November 2024. Previous speakers have included Dr David Doig and if you are interested in giving a clinical lecture to a largely clinical physicist audience please contact Dr Harpreet Hyare: harpreet.hyare@nhs.net
BSNR members can sign up on the following link: https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?A0=BCISMRM
