
Dr Gilbert Gravino is a Consultant Interventional and Diagnostic Neuroradiologist at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust and Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust. He is also a qualified medical imaging technologist (radiographer). He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Malta. Before undertaking specialist and subspecialist training in Liverpool, he developed a strong foundation in the clinical neurosciences through study and clinical work in neurology, neurosurgery, neurocritical care, and ENT at John Radcliffe Hospital (Oxford), National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (London), and Addenbrooke’s Hospital (Cambridge). He is actively involved in clinical research in interventional neuroradiology and laboratory research with in vitro modelling, exploring cerebrovascular haemodynamics and technical aspects of mechanical thrombectomy. He previously served as a Clinical Lecturer at the North West Imaging Academy. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications and a book that has become a widely used educational resource for radiology trainees, ‘A Systematic Approach to Review Computed Tomography Imaging: For Novice Radiologists in Training’.
